Agave Mug

$46.00
sold out

This mug is wheel-thrown from English Porcelain, carved at the leather hard stage and under-glaze applied. It is then bisque fired, interior and exterior glazes applied, and undergoes the final firing.

This drawing and carving was inspired by the agave plants at Longwood Gardens, my favorite place to wander, take pictures, draw, and write.

The capacity of this mug is 13 oz. It could be microwaved or cleaned in the dishwasher, but all handmade mugs fare best over time when hand-washed. That being said, I often place my mugs on the top shelf of the dishwasher, or reheat coffee in the microwave with no issue.
