Baby Blue Mug
This mug is wheel-thrown from English Porcelain, carved at the leather hard stage and under-glaze applied. It is then bisque fired, interior and exterior glazes applied, and undergoes the final firing.
I lost the name of this lovely little bloom, it was from Longwood Gardens of course, and the lines were so detailed, I had to draw it! So precise and delicate.
The capacity of this mug is 11 oz. It could be microwaved or cleaned in the dishwasher, but all handmade mugs fare best over time when hand-washed. That being said, I often place my mugs on the top shelf of the dishwasher, or reheat coffee in the microwave with no issue.
