Mums Mug
This mug is wheel-thrown from English Porcelain, carved at the leather hard stage and under-glaze applied. It is then bisque fired, interior and exterior glazes applied, and undergoes the final firing.
Mums bring that color right when then summer garden starts to fade. They are also the star at Longwood Gardens in the fall, who knew they could be so flashy?!
The capacity of this mug is 10 oz. It could be microwaved or cleaned in the dishwasher, but all handmade mugs fare best over time when hand-washed. That being said, I often place my mugs on the top shelf of the dishwasher, or reheat coffee in the microwave with no issue.
