This mug is wheel-thrown from English Porcelain. It is then bisque fired, interior and exterior glazes applied, and undergoes the final firing.
The glaze design comes from my love of summer and seashells. The internal glaze has a satin finish, with fine cream and pink speckles that remind me of collecting shells along the beach.
The capacity of this mug is 12 oz. It could be microwaved or cleaned in the dishwasher, but all handmade mugs fare best over time when hand-washed. That being said, I often place my mugs on the top shelf of the dishwasher, or reheat coffee in the microwave with no issue.
